and here are some detail shots And here are my glass things!! Left to right: My first successful double gather bubble!! Then some bit practice, and a blob to practice cold working...
This was not included in the assignment and I had to have special permission from my teacher to add the gold lettering.
As life progresses, things that matter to you most tend to change. That is why I never signed this piece. I didn't want it to become stagnant in the time I painted it originally. I wanted to be able to add and change things as my life moved on. There were two things that no longer held any importance to me. One, the dragon's eye color. It didn't fit being red anymore since the original tattoo design was also changed to reflect my personality. Two, Prince Caspian(my new kitten) has replaced the boy in the bottom right corner, which I felt was a much needed change as him being part of the piece was my only regret.
Here are Thursday's glass pieces. There was one more large bubble, but it cracked when I tried to break it off the rod. So I threw it away. This guy isn't quite done, but I figured I'd post an in progress shot!
Here is how my portrait is going! I finished the sketch, and then started painting!! And here is my cone, and two bubbles!!!
So here are my glass shapes from last Thursday's Glass Class! So in color we're working on a Complementary Self Portrait, and this is the sketch I did for mine. It's going to be painted with Red Violet and Yellow Green + their tints and shades. I'm pretty excited!! And my progress on my in class still life for painting as well as my mini paintings! And here are some pictures of me working on a cone I made Wednesday night. I'll post the cone when I get it back. Also here are my two cubes from Tuesday's class!

Welcome!
Hi! I'm Ali. I love to draw and paint, and here you can see the results. I've been drawing since I was 2 years old. It's become a passion of mine, as well as something that I can find refuge in. I hope you enjoy my work!
