In my ceramics class we were assigned to do a project on our idea of gender. I'm protesting this project and decided to make a heart because I didn't want to choose a gender. So I chose a heart because gender is what we feel.
In ceramics I have an assignment to find a piece at the local museum and recreate my own version of it. I found this awesome Haniwa horse head, did some research and found out that they were grave markers/ guardians. They were also said to potentially house spirits. So I'm making a dragon spirit vessel, that houses my dragon spirit guide.
Here's the sketch/adobe illustrator file for my metalsmithing major/minor project! I really like this one. I'm gonna set an amethyst on the pin, and the leaves are gonna be gilded green.
Had to make four 6in cylinders for my class, two survived, and one wound up being a vase instead :) I also learned a new throwing technique. I'm also really happy with this month's RHM newsletter! To sign up for Renewed Heart Ministries' Newsletter click here!

Welcome!
Hi! I'm Ali. I love to draw and paint, and here you can see the results. I've been drawing since I was 2 years old. It's become a passion of mine, as well as something that I can find refuge in. I hope you enjoy my work!
