These are my final project for drawing composition. They represent anxiety and depression. Two things that I struggle with daily.
Based on the Real Monsters by Toby Allen, I made my own Anxiety Monster out of clay!! Very happy with how he turned out!!!
We had to do an introspective self portrait that included at least 5 things that were important to us.. So here's mine!
Symbolism: - Me, as some mythical creature with fiery hair to represent my love of magical creatures and my fiery spirit - Me being slightly overweight to represent my struggle with how big I am - The key around my neck that fits into the key hole in the heart - My broken heart being torn in two - Having no arms leaving me helpless - My dragon protector keeping me safe, he is also going to be my first tattoo. He guards my heart. - The Tree of Life/The Hanging Tree represents my daily struggle to choose life or death - Wisdom begins in Wonder is the quote that I choose to live by - Eragon and James in the bottom corners are the two living things that mean the most to me - Anxiety, Depression, and Borderline Personality Disorder monsters are present and mobile, able to show up anywhere at any time symbolizing their effect on my life. - The Galaxy symbolizes my love of beauty and wonder - The Galaxy is done with watercolor paints to symbolize my love of the ocean (As a side note this also has rain water on it.) - The piece as a whole symbolizes my love for art |

Welcome!
Hi! I'm Ali. I love to draw and paint, and here you can see the results. I've been drawing since I was 2 years old. It's become a passion of mine, as well as something that I can find refuge in. I hope you enjoy my work!
